Markdown Navigator for Android
2026-05-21
I love Markdown. It's easy to write, easy to read, and looks great when rendered p.e. as HTML. That's why I use Markdown for almost everything:
- my personal wiki
- notes about books I'm reading
- to do lists
- ideas about projects I'm working on
- articles on my website
Especially notes about books are something that I want to read offline on my Android phone.
There are many Android apps for reading (and editing) Markdown files available, but switching between files is a bit of a pain. Following relative links often doesn't work at all.
That's why I have written Markdown Navigator. It's designed for reading Markdown files and jumping easily from file to file and from section to section. You open a folder of Markdown files once. Then you get a table of contents (list of Markdown files) generated and can jump to a certain file or you simply use the arrow buttons to browse through the files. There are also buttons to jump to the next or the previous section.
If this sounds interesting to you, you can find the app at Google Play.
